In celebration of World Tuberculosis Day, the Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center's Department of Internal Medicine, in collaboration with the Public Health Unit and TB DOTS, held an informative event centered around the theme "TB in the Workplace: Are You Safe?" The event took place earlier at the auditorium of OMMC and featured Dr. Noriel Dimaandal as the keynote speaker.
The program echoed the World Health Organization's theme, "YES! We can End TB: Commit, Invest, Deliver," emphasizing the urgency and importance of eradicating tuberculosis. Through discussions and presentations, the event aimed to raise awareness about TB in occupational settings and promote safety measures to protect workers and communities alike.
In celebration of the World Social Work Day, the Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center joins the country in recognizing its social workers.

In celebration of Women's Month, the Public Health Unit of OMMC, in collaboration with the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department and the Pharmacy Section, successfully conducted a free HPV vaccination drive for eligible employees last February 20, 2025, at the Public Health Unit office. A total of 45 employees received the HPV vaccine during this event.
This initiative aims to promote women's health and raise awareness about the importance of HPV vaccination in preventing cervical cancer. Thank you to all who participated and contributed to the success of this vital health initiative!
