Dr. Aileen Lacsamana, director of the Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center, believes in us all.
Her vision is crystal clear: the public deserves top-quality healthcare service. She believes that the health care system is a right of all. She believes that a government hospital can, too, provide the best medical care and produce top-notch doctors and nurses. She believes that if her medical staff are equipped with the right seminars and conferences, this will translate to the kind of service that the hospital can give.
Thus, she continuously leads us to the right path to nurture our knowledge. She believes that growth has a long-term benefit and that nothing is permanent except self-improvement. She knows that she is not a perfect director. She knows that her knowledge will not be enough to guide us throughout. She knows there will always be room for curiosity and that investment in knowledge is the best thing you can impart to someone. Hence, she pushes for excellent seminars for us to learn from international experts and maximize our capacity. She is the navigator and the captain of the ship that we need.
The captain has an excellent mind to know who is on board and their strengths. She is the captain who puts her trust in her crew. She believes that each one of us has their own expertise. She knows that everyone has a sense of responsibility no matter how big or small, you matter. She believes in us always and in all possible ways.
Trust can be intimidating, especially if it comes from her. Who are we for a director of the hospital to trust me? But with her, communication has become a breeze in the park. For her, you matter. For her, your opinion, your concern, is valid. She assures you that everything will be okay and that she will be there to guide you. She believes that trust and communication are key indicators in promoting strong collaboration. With this kind of character, she is not just building a crew for the sake of having one, but she is training you to be the best version of yourself.
Thank you, Dr. Aileen Lacsamana, for not only being the director of our beloved hospital but also a great director of our lives. Thank you for believing in us and for your guidance in providing high-quality healthcare service with compassionate healing to our patients.
