OMMC EARNED AWARDS, RECOGNITIONS FROM BOTH LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL FIRMS
The Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center has continuously earning the respect of various departments both in the country and international.
Under the leadership of Dr. Aileen Lacsamana, and through the efforts of all the departments, the hospital received several recognitions and awards for providing high quality services.
NQA Philippines, a global certification body, has passed the Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center for the Stage 1 and Stage 2 Audit for ISO 9001:2015.
This proves that the hospital provides a high quality and excellent healthcare service to the public, anchored to a global standard.
In the country, the Department of Health gave several recognitions to the hospital.
One of these is the very satisfactory rating for the over-all potential as a healthcare facility under the DOH's Integrated Hospital Operations and Management Program (IHOMP).
When it comes to climate, the DOH also gave the hospital a 4-star award - tagging OMMC as a champion in climate practice.
This award was echoed by the Department of Energy as the hospital obtained a 3-star rating for implementing energy efficient practices during the Government Energy Management Program (GEMP) audit.
The Commission on Audit has also commended the efforts of the hospital in processing and collecting of Philhealth claims that greatly benefit its patients.
As for the part of the Philippine Blood Center, OMMC became the recipient of the Gabriela Silang, an award given to medical facilities who collected 100-199 blood units.
OMMC’S FUTURE POISED FOR A GREATER FUTURE
The future of Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center is gearing towards a greater heights as it bears the foundation for its continued excellence in healthcare.
With its solid developmental and structural framework, all patients, healthcare staff, and medical residents are secured that the hospital goals remains intact.
All architectural, engineering, construction concerns, are being taken with high standards prior to its actual implementation to ensure that the hospital followed all the policies and programs.
A regular performance evaluation is also being conducted to guarantee the hospital’s continous improvement.

OMMC CLOSES Q1 OF 2025 WITH STRONG FINANCIAL HEALTH.
The strong relationship between the Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center and PhilHealth continues to have a significant impact in the hospital's financial sustainability.
The hospital have already exceeded last year's data on three of the major indicators of financial sustainability, based on data for the first quarter.
Since the start of the "PhilHealth Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama" this year, OMMC has already referred about 4,000 patients from its Out Patient Department (OPD) Services Consultation to PhilHealth.
The total of 3,849 patients catered by the hospital has an equivalent worth of collectible P4,630,800 from PhilHealth.
With this, OMMC exceeds the monthly average collection for both hospital charges and professional fees, as well as monthly average of transmitted claims on hospital charges compared last year.
According to the data as of April 2025, the hospital now has 239% increase on PhilHealth hospital charges, 229% on Philhealth Professional Fees, and a 117% increased on PhilHealth transmittal claims.
All of these are part of OMMC Management Action Plans for 2024-2029 to maintain a high quality governance and healthcare, including financial sustainability.
OMMC EMPLOYEES RECEIVE ALL TIME HIGH PHILHEALTH PRODUCTIVITY SHARING
The Philhealth productivity sharing of Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center (OMMC) for the first quarter has surpassed more than of what were recorded in the previous years.
All medical staff and non-medical staff of the received the highest Philhealth Productivity Sharing with an amount of ₱56,149.04 and ₱30,473.32 respectively.
The benefit for the medical staff is 94% higher based on records for the whole 2024. For the non-medical staff, it is 51% higher compared to the same time frame.
"With the current favorable achievements by our great team's effort, we may say that positive result can be achieved through the dynamic leadership and support by our own leader Dr. Lacsamana," Analisa Milad, Finance Division Chief.
According to Milad, the maximization of the potential collection coming from PhilHealth helped in increasing the benefits of the hospital staff.
She then assured that the Finance Service will continue to provide excellent healthcare service that will be translated in both the patients and personnel.
"We are continuously striving for the best for Ospital Ng Maynila Medical Center, our beloved institution, for the continuous delivery of healthcare services," she said.
Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center gets DOH nod as mother-baby friendly hospital
The Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center received on Friday the Department of Health’s (DOH) accreditation for having excellent maternal and neonatal care.
The DOH recognized OMMC as a Mother-Baby Friendly Hospital Facility with certificate number MBFHFI 2026- 391.
The accreditation proves that OMMC is “complying with the standards set by the Department of Health and exemplifying its commitment to safe, high-quality, and effective maternal and neonatal care.”
PRESS RELEASE: OMMC OBTAINS 3-STAR RATING IN ENERGY MANAGEMENT
The Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center secured a 3-star rating from the Department of Energy for properly implementing energy efficient practices.
The city government hospital obtained the score of 88.4% during the Government Energy Management Program (GEMP) audit made by the said national agency on Thursday, May 15.
The said audit aims to "assess the agency's compliance with the GEMP, as well as evaluate energy performance."
Among the factors that were taken into consideration are the hospital's practices in electricity conservation and fuel conservation.
The score obtained by the Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center proves that the medical facility is compliant to the efforts of the national government in promoting energy efficiency and conservation.

The said guidelines aims to heighten the collaboration between government hospitals and private health facilities in the nation's capital.
